Lowell Webster

Lowell Webster received a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1976 from the University of Redlands in Redlands, CA where he studied piano with Alexandra Pierce. He then did some graduate work towards a Masters of Fine Arts from 1976 - 1979 at the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA, where he studied piano with Leonid Hambro.

He also attended the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, CO in the summer of 1975 and studied piano with Aube Tzerko. He has also done computer music and research in piano acoustics at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics, (CCRMA) at Stanford University, Stanford, CA, during the summer of 1978.

He became a piano tuner and technician in 1977 and supported himself until 1980 when he decided to become a computer software engineer. He moved to the San Francisco Bay area for two years and was employed in San Mateo. He then became a software engineer and later an engineer manager of the Graphics group at Digital Research in Monterey, CA. He left there in 1991 to pursue a career as a musician.
